Part-Time Driver
The Hardwick Board of Selectmen is seeking qualified applicants to fill a part-time driver position for the MART Transportation Program. Position requires a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License. Applications are available at the Municipal Office Building, 307 Main Street, Gilbertville, MA.

Conservation Commission
All residents of the Town of Hardwick are invited to express their interest in serving on the Town of Hardwick Conservation Commission.  Members of the Commission are all volunteers, with wetlands biology, science, or teaching backgrounds, or simply a love of our lands and waterways and a desire to preserve them; and a strong interest in seeing that the Interests of the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act are protected and that its Regulations are enforced.

Commission members assist residents with the often complex process of permitting for projects they wish to undertake on their property and provide education about the WPA to all interested parties.

Monthly meetings are held on the third (3rd) Wednesday of each month in the Municipal Office Building at 307 Main Street, Gilbertville.  These meetings are open to the public, and persons interested in joining the Commission are encouraged to attend a meeting to see what the Commission does.

Other responsibilities include site visits to residents’ properties to view their proposed projects and then deliberating at the public meeting whether the project can go forward as planned, or whether the Conservation Commission will put certain conditions on the work.
