Special Town Meeting will be held on Monday, August 22 at 6 pm at the Hardwick Elementary School. A Public Informational Session regarding the sewer project will be held immediately after the Special Town Meeting.

Early In-Person Voting

Chapter 92 of the Acts of 2022 created permanent early voting and vote by mail options for voters.  It also standardizes voter registrations for elections and town meetings to ten days prior to said meetings/elections.  Voter registration sessions will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022; and Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. respectively.

Deadline to apply for in-person Absentee Voting is Friday, September 2, 2022 at 5 p.m. and an appointment MUST be made with the Town Clerk prior to the deadline, the office is closed that day.

State Primary early in-person voting:  Saturday, August 27, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Monday, August 29, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Click here for the State Primary Warrant

Early voting location is at the Myron E. Richardson Municipal Building in the Board of Selectmen’s meeting room.

The deadline to register to vote by mail for the November 8, 2022 State Election
is 5 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022

The Board of Selectmen in their role as Water Commissioners will be meeting on September 12, 2022, at 6 pm at the Town House, 40 Common Street, Hardwick, MA 01037. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss water technology upgrade that will include new remote reader water meters for customers and potential water rate increases.

Recycling Center Stickers for Fiscal Year 2023 are available for purchase until June 30, 2023. ($55 for town residents; $90 for out of town) Your sticker can be purchased at the Recycling Center during normal business hours.  A current sticker is required to use the facility. The Hardwick Recycling Center will be closed on the following federal holidays: Christmas Day, New Years Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day when the actual holiday occurs on a Wednesday or Saturday.

You must act quickly and assertively to minimize the damage to your good name and credit history.

There have been multiple reports of Unemployment Fraud, whereby people have filed for benefits under someone else's name. If you think this has happened to you, click here to report it to the State, and you must also inform the Hardwick PD.
